News 00

Well I have a nice little update for everyone, I made a new noise EP titled inputoutput. Reviews so far:
Really truly disturbing - like going to throw me into some sort of seisure disturbing.
If there were flashing lights to go with it, I'm certain that it would. The emphasis on the not-quite-on-a-western-scale notes really put me on chalk-board screeching, teeth- grinding edge.... I would get stuck in a very depressed and twisted mood.

In other news I'm working on something more danceable and club friendly, which is gonna take more time. It's gonna be fucking noisy and pounding with flowing leads and stabbing rhythms, possibly some vocals by me.

Edit: Also possibly some remixes of el swingo covers of classic punk songs

Studio Diary 01

Gonna test out a possible way of syncing fl to studiofactory. Record 4 beats of clock pulse on sf, import to fl, turn metronome on, sync clock pulse to metronome. Time consuming, but effective and useful.

Going Analog

Sorry about the lack of posting, I've been pretty busy lately. And by busy I mean coming up with ideas, getting inspired, doing engineer work (as an apprentice, but still) and playing video games(Halo: Reach is fucking awesome, the soundtrack is amazing, and the sound design is to die for.)
On the note of the title: yes I'm trying to go more analog in my music, I just got my first two effects kits from GetLoFi and am planning on getting more kits and PCBs from them, MFOS, and some others (I'll post links in the links section.) My plan is to build a rather large effects/synth rack to use with my computer(s) and instruments I already have doing much of the controlling.

Progress

Hello, sorry I haven't been talking much, some of you were there for my graduation/live show, and I thank you for that.

I got accepted into Recording Connection! WOOO! That means I'll be getting more training in the recording arts... a lot more. Which means that Reality Check is gonna sound way better then a lot of my older stuff.

Anyways, Zinnia and I are still working on Reality Check and I'm almost finished with YCFA180BPM(I'll finish that up tonight.) I've also been working on gathering other musicians to do remixes for the second disk of the limited edition of Reality Check. I'll have a couple of the remixes available to listen to on soundcloud (but not download.) I'm also trying to work on a remix of Xion's theme from KH 358/2 Days, but am having trouble finding good notation of the song.

You'll be hearing a lot more from me now.
